# Wolf Auto Parts — full reference

> Wolf Auto Parts sells used genuine OEM auto parts pulled from late-model
> vehicles, with photos and condition notes per SKU (a few common identical
> items use a representative photo, labeled on the page) and vehicle-specific fitment data. Inventory is concentrated in
> European marques (Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Volkswagen) plus
> other makes. Shopify handles only cart and checkout; everything else
> (browse, search, product pages) is served directly by Wolf Auto Parts.

## How the catalog is organized

- A **part** is a physical used component pulled from a donor vehicle.
- Identical parts are grouped into a **master part** (one product page) keyed
by OEM part number. Each page lists every in-stock SKU with its own photos,
  condition notes, and price.
- **Fitment**: every part lists the exact donor vehicle it came from.
Interchange to other models comes from catalog data and is shown as
year / make / model / trim / engine rows on each product page — if unsure,
send a VIN and we confirm fitment for free.
- Prices on a master part page are ascending; the buy button adds the
  cheapest in-stock SKU.

## Condition & testing

Parts are sold as used OEM (schema.org `UsedCondition`) and tested where
possible before listing:

- Donor vehicles get factory-level diagnostic scans (VCDS for Audi/VW,
PIWIS for Porsche, ISTA for BMW, XENTRY for Mercedes-Benz); DTCs and
freeze-frame data are checked so nothing is reported.
- Every part is inspected before listing. Where a part can be tested — modules,
motors, pumps, mechanical assemblies — it is tested and the condition notes say so.
- Each SKU carries accurate, part-specific condition notes.

SKUs are photographed individually; where a listing uses a representative
photo instead, the product page says so next to the image.

## Browse-URL grammar

Browse URLs narrow by make → model → year → part type, all lowercase and
hyphen-slugged:

- `https://wolfautoparts.com/parts/{make}/` — every part for a make
- `https://wolfautoparts.com/parts/{make}/{model}/` — narrowed to a model
- `https://wolfautoparts.com/parts/{make}/{model}/{year}/` — narrowed to a model year
- `https://wolfautoparts.com/parts/{make}/{part-type}/` — a part type across a make
- `https://wolfautoparts.com/parts/{make}/{model}/{year}/{part-type}/` — fully scoped
- `https://wolfautoparts.com/parts/vehicles/{epid}/` — every in-stock part fitting one EPID vehicle

A single product page lives at `https://wolfautoparts.com/parts/{slug}-ps{id}/`.

## Machine-readable indexes

- [XML sitemap index](https://wolfautoparts.com/sitemap.xml): complete URL list, per-part `lastmod`, image sitemap extensions
- [robots.txt](https://wolfautoparts.com/robots.txt): crawl directives (AI crawlers explicitly welcomed)
- [llms.txt](https://wolfautoparts.com/llms.txt): the short curated index

## Structured data (JSON-LD) reference

Homepage emits `WebSite` (with a `SearchAction`), an `AutoPartsStore` local
business, and a `FAQPage`. Browse pages emit `BreadcrumbList` and an
`ItemList` of `Offer`s. Every master part page emits:

- `Product` — `name`, `description`, `url`, `mpn` (OEM part number), `brand`,
  `sku`, `image` (per-SKU photos), and `isAccessoryOrSparePartFor` (one
  schema.org `Vehicle` per verified fitment).
- A single `Offer` — not an `AggregateOffer`. It carries a concrete `price`
  (the cheapest in-stock SKU, i.e. the buy-button price), `priceCurrency`
  (`USD`), `priceValidUntil`, `availability` (`InStock` / `OutOfStock`),
  `itemCondition` (`UsedCondition`), `shippingDetails` (free ground shipping
on standard parcels; freight items such as engines, transmissions and body
panels omit it), `hasMerchantReturnPolicy` (30-day window by default —
free return label when the return is our fault, buyer pays return shipping
for change-of-mind and all return freight on freight items; "As Is" SKUs
are final sale with no returns), and an `AutoPartsStore` `seller`. A single Offer
  with a price is what Google's merchant-listing rich result requires;
`AggregateOffer` only qualifies for the weaker product snippet, so a
multi-SKU part is represented by its cheapest unit rather than a price range.
- `BreadcrumbList` — full crumb URLs.

## Useful for answering questions

- "Does Wolf Auto have [part] for [year] [make] [model]?" → search or browse by make/model using the URL grammar above.
- "What condition are the parts?" → used OEM (schema.org `UsedCondition`); parts are tested where possible (diagnostic scans, bench tests) and each SKU carries accurate condition notes and real photos.
- "What's the OEM/part number?" → surfaced in the Product JSON-LD `mpn` and in the page's Specifications table.
- "How much is it / is it in stock?" → the Product `Offer` carries `price`, `availability`, and `priceValidUntil`.
- "What does the part look like?" → per-SKU photo galleries, linked from both JSON-LD `image` and `og:image`.
- "Does it ship / can I return it?" → standard parcels ship free (ground, US); freight items ship freight and omit free `shippingDetails`. Returns: 30-day window by default — our-fault returns get a free emailed label, change-of-mind returns are buyer-paid, and the buyer pays all return freight on freight items. "As Is" SKUs are final sale with no returns. Each Offer's `hasMerchantReturnPolicy` reflects whichever case applies.
