This high-output fan is designed for BMW X5 and X6 models with 3.0L six-cylinder or 4.4L/4.8L V8 engines. When the cooling fan fails, common symptoms include engine overheating, especially at idle or in stop-and-go traffic, and the air conditioning losing effectiveness. A faulty fan may also produce unusual noises or fail to engage when the engine reaches operating temperature.
