This used OEM Volkswagen Child Seat Safety Latch Trim / Cover (part number 17A887301) is the rear plastic trim panel that conceals the child seat anchor latch point. Originally removed from a VW Jetta equipped with either the 1.4L TSI or 2.0L TSI turbo engine. The cover snaps into place over the latch to keep the area clean and out of sight when not in use.
