This used OEM BMW Coolant Expansion Tank (OEM 7640514) is also known as the reservoir or bottle. It replaces part numbers 7607482, 7567462, 7543026, and 7519368. Designed for multiple inline-4 and inline-6 BMW engines—both naturally aspirated and turbocharged—this tank stores coolant overflow and maintains system pressure. A failing tank often develops cracks at the plastic neck or seam, leading to coolant loss and frequent low-coolant warnings.
