The Volkswagen CV axle shaft (OEM 3D0407272E, also replaces 3D0407272EX) is a used genuine front right axle from a Phaeton with the 4.2L V8. Also called a constant velocity axle or half-shaft, it transfers engine torque to the front wheel while accommodating suspension travel and steering angle. A worn CV joint typically produces a clicking noise during tight turns.
