It is designed for use with the EA888 2.0 TSI/TFSI and 1.4 TSI engines found in the Tiguan. These connectors secure the electrical link between the engine control unit and the engine harness; a failing set can cause intermittent stalling, no-start conditions, or communication faults with the ECU.
