BMW Engine Knock Sensor (OEM 7568421) — a genuine used part from a donor vehicle. This knock sensor monitors combustion detonation and helps the ECU adjust timing to prevent engine damage. Also known as a detonation sensor, it replaces OEM numbers 1709317 and 1435502. Symptoms of a failing knock sensor include a check engine light, reduced power, and audible pinging under load. Fits various BMW V8 engines including 4.4L, 4.8L, and 5.0L naturally aspirated and supercharged variants.
