This Audi Engine Oil Cooler (OEM 079117015B) was removed from a donor vehicle and is a genuine used part. It manages oil temperature on the 4.2L V8 (both 4163CC and 4172CC) found in the A8 Quattro. When the cooler fails, oil can leak externally or cause elevated oil temperatures, leading to reduced lubrication. Also known simply as an oil cooler, it mounts between the oil filter housing and engine block to maintain proper thermal regulation.
