This is a used OEM BMW ground cable / strap, part number 7621168. This genuine grounding strap was removed from a donor vehicle and connects the engine or chassis to the battery's negative terminal, completing the electrical circuit. A failing ground strap can cause hard starting, dim lights, erratic electrical behavior, or a no-start condition as the path for current becomes compromised. This is a direct OEM replacement for the listed 2.0L and 3.0L engines, including the N20 and N55 turbocharged four- and six-cylinder units.
