Used BMW headlight leveling sensor with linkage, OEM part number 6861845. This front-left sensor measures ride height to automatically adjust headlamp beam aim as vehicle load changes. Also known as a headlight leveling sensor arm or suspension position sensor. When it fails, the headlights may point too high, blinding oncoming traffic, or too low, reducing visibility; a dashboard leveling warning light may also illuminate. Removed from a 2019–2021 BMW i3 or i3s with the 0.6L range-extender or full battery-electric drivetrain. The sensor connects via linkage to the suspension control arm and must be correctly aligned on installation.
