This used OEM BMW Light Control Switch Unit (5A16AB3, also replaces 61319461144) controls headlights, parking lights, and instrument-panel brightness. It was removed from a donor vehicle. Programming/coding to the vehicle’s VIN is required on installation—have a qualified shop or dealer perform this. A failing unit may cause intermittent lighting, dashboard warning lights, or lights that won’t turn off/on. This switch is specific to 2.0L turbo engines in certain BMW models.
