Also called the starter harness, it carries high current from the battery to the starter motor and main electrical system. On the 3.0L V6 diesel (EA896 family), a failing cable can cause intermittent no-crank, slow cranking, or voltage drop at the starter due to corrosion or strand breakage inside the insulation.
