This plastic duct channels incoming air to the radiator for efficient engine cooling across multiple 3.0L inline-6 and 4.4L/4.8L V8 engine options on the X5. Over time, the duct can crack or its mounting tabs break, reducing airflow and causing higher coolant temperatures. Replacing a damaged guide restores proper airflow to the radiator and condenser.
