This used OEM BMW steering column clock spring / switch / stalk assembly, part 5A32048, also replaces 61315A0FBA2 and 61319472555. The clock spring maintains electrical continuity between the steering wheel and vehicle systems—controls for the horn, airbag, cruise control, and audio buttons route through it. When the clock spring fails, you may lose horn function, see an airbag warning light, or have unresponsive steering wheel switches. This assembly includes the stalk switches. Programming to the vehicle/VIN is required upon installation by a qualified shop or dealer.
