Audi timing chain tensioner / guide OEM 079109507G – a genuine used part removed from a late-model donor. This tensioner (also listed as 079109507C) keeps the 4.2L 4163CC/4172CC V8 variable-valve-timing chain properly tensioned, preventing slack and chain rattle. A failing unit often produces a metallic slapping sound from the front of the engine, especially on cold starts, and may trigger a timing correlation code.
