BMW transmission sound absorber / cover (lower), OEM part number 8612330, also replaces 8632039. This used genuine OEM panel is a lower acoustic shield that dampens drivetrain noise from the transmission and oil pan area. It was removed from a donor vehicle and is specific to BMW models with 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder, 3.0L diesel, or 3.0L gas six-cylinder engines. When the original absorber is missing or damaged, you may notice increased transmission whine or road noise in the cabin.
