This is a used genuine OEM Mercedes-Benz Trunk Hatch Strut Shock / Hydraulic Line Set, part number 1648003148, also replacing 1648002548 and 1648004148. These struts provide the lifting force to open and hold the rear hatch on GL-Class models, including the GL320, GL450, GL500, and GL550. When these hydraulic struts weaken or fail, the hatch will no longer stay open on its own, requiring manual support.
