This used Volkswagen turbo intercooler pressure pipe / tube, OEM 05E145673Q, came from a salvage donor. It's the rigid duct that carries pressurized charge air from the turbocharger outlet to the intercooler on 1.5L 1498CC turbocharged four-cylinder engines (found in Jetta and Taos). When this tube develops a crack or loose seal, symptoms include a hissing boost leak, sluggish acceleration, and reduced fuel economy. Known as the turbo intercooler pipe or pressure tube, it's a direct-fit replacement — simply swap the original and secure the clamps.
