This genuine BMW underbody cover, OEM part number 7270917, is a used, factory original unit designed for the front left position. Also referred to as a splash shield or skid plate, it protects the underside of the vehicle from road debris, mud, and moisture while also helping to improve aerodynamics. Direct fit on BMW i3 and i3s models, including those with the 0.6L range-extender engine or full battery-electric powertrain. If the original cover is missing or cracked, road noise and dirt intrusion into the engine bay can increase.
