This used OEM BMW AC Climate Control / Temp Unit (part 9234355) controls cabin temperature and air conditioning functions. It replaces a long series of earlier numbers including 9310449, 9279654, 9262781, and others in that prefix group. Removed from a BMW X5 or X6 donor, it is compatible with various 3.0L inline-six gas or diesel engines and 4.4L/4.8L V8s. A failing unit may cause erratic temperature output, no heat, or a nonfunctional AC system.
