This is a used OEM BMW Active Sound Amplifier Wiring Connector / Pigtail, part number 9286863, also superseding 9282180, 9267630, 9287263, and 9285283. This pigtail connects the active sound amplifier to the vehicle's wiring harness, allowing the system to pipe synthetic engine noise into the cabin. If the connector is damaged or corroded, the active sound feature may fail or produce intermittent audio. This part is removed from a donor BMW and is ready for installation.
