This BMW Air Intake Filter Housing / Box (upper), OEM 7601906, is a used genuine part removed from a 4.4L V8 turbo donor. Also called the upper intake air filter box, it houses the filter and directs clean air to the engine. A cracked housing can allow unfilter air or trigger lean codes from unmetered intake. This left-side upper section was fitted to the N63 V8 in numerous 5, 6, 7 Series and Alpina B6 models.
