This used OEM upper half of the air intake filter housing and box (part number 2780902801) was removed from a donor Mercedes-Benz GL450. It is the right-side component for the 4.7L 4663CC V8 GAS DOHC turbocharged engine. The housing channels filtered air into the intake system; a cracked or warped upper half can allow unfiltered air into the engine or cause a loose fit for the filter element. Also known simply as the air intake box, this genuine OEM piece ensures proper seal and airflow.
