This Volkswagen Air Quality Sensor (OEM 5Q0907643C) is a used genuine part sourced from a donor vehicle. It also replaces numbers 5Q0907643A, 5Q0907643D, 5Q0907643B, and 5Q0907659. The sensor detects outside pollutants and triggers automatic recirculation mode in the HVAC system. It is applicable to 1.8L and 2.0L turbocharged gas and diesel engines, as well as battery electric powertrains. When faulty, the sensor may fail to engage recirculation, allowing exhaust odors into the cabin.
