This genuine used part is the flexplate—the ring gear that connects the engine's crankshaft to the torque converter, transmitting rotational force to the transmission. A failing flexplate can cause a loud knocking or rattling noise from the bellhousing area, especially at idle, or lead to hard shifting and vibration. This specific flexplate was removed from a donor vehicle and is ready for installation.
