It serves as an additional cooling unit, typically mounted in the wheel well or front bumper area, to help manage heat from the turbocharged 2.0L and 3.0L hybrid engines. When this secondary radiator fails or becomes clogged, you may notice higher-than-normal coolant temperatures or the electric cooling fan running more frequently.
