It is the left rear caliper carrier for A8 Quattro and S8 models with 3.0L V6 diesel, 3.0L/4.0L/4.2L V8, and 6.3L W12 engines. The bracket secures the caliper and caliper guide pins; a bent or corroded carrier can cause uneven pad wear, brake drag, or noise.
