A used OEM Volkswagen/Audi brake master cylinder, part number 1J1614019A, is a direct replacement for the hydraulic brake actuation unit. This component converts pedal force into hydraulic pressure to engage the brakes. A failing master cylinder can cause a soft or sinking brake pedal, or internal fluid leaks that bypass the reservoir. It was removed from a compatible donor vehicle.
