This genuine sensor is designed for the front left and right positions on BMW models including the 228i, M235i, X1, and X2. It is compatible with 1.5L and 2.0L turbocharged engines. When the brake pad wear sensor triggers, it illuminates a dashboard warning light indicating that the brake pads have reached their minimum thickness and require inspection or replacement.
