This ultrasonic sensor is part of the parking assist system, detecting obstacles near the front or rear bumper during low-speed maneuvers. A failing sensor may produce a continuous tone, no tone, or false alerts from the Park Distance Control (PDC) module. This genuine used OEM part comes from a salvaged BMW donor vehicle.
