This used OEM BMW bumper reinforcement bar (OEM 3403438, also replaces 3439780) is the front impact beam from a donor X3. It mounts behind the bumper cover to absorb and distribute collision forces across the frame rails. Also called bumper reinforcement bar or impact beam, this structural component is model-specific for the X3 with the 2.5L or 3.0L naturally aspirated I6 engines. When the reinforcement is bent or corroded, the bumper cover may sag or misalign after a minor impact.
