This is a used OEM BMW Z4 convertible top hydraulic pump, OEM part number 9198594. It is a genuine BMW component, removed from a donor vehicle. This hydraulic pump is the central unit that provides the fluid pressure to operate the convertible top mechanism. When this pump fails, the most common symptom is that the convertible top will not move, or will move very slowly and stop, often accompanied by a humming noise from the pump area with no corresponding roof movement.
