This BMW Center Console Hill / Auto Hold Switch (OEM 6962596) is a genuine used component. Also known as a hill hold or auto hold switch, it controls the automatic brake-hold feature that keeps the car stationary on inclines. If the switch fails, the hill-hold function may not activate or the indicator light may stay off. It replaces numerous earlier numbers including 9123756, 6962589, and 6949243, among several others in the 6962xxx series.
