The BMW center impact/crash sensor (OEM 9159310, also replaces 6995257) is a used genuine component from a donor vehicle. This sensor detects collision forces in the center of the car and signals the airbag control module for deployment. Also called a center impact sensor or crash sensor, it comes from BMW 5 Series models with 2.0L turbo I4, 3.0L I6 (naturally aspirated or turbo), or 4.4L turbo V8 engines. If the sensor fails, the airbag warning light may illuminate or airbags may not deploy correctly.
