This used OEM Volkswagen convertible top latch, part number 1Q0871749C, is a genuine replacement for the left side. It also replaces the earlier 1Q0871749B. This latch secures the convertible top to the windshield header on the driver's side. A failing latch can cause the top to not seal properly, leading to wind noise or water leaks. It was removed from a Volkswagen Eos with the 2.0L turbocharged engine.
