Also known as a coolant thermostat assembly, it regulates engine operating temperature on 2.0L turbocharged engines (1984cc, DOHC). A failing thermostat can cause overheating, poor heater output, or check engine lights due to sluggish warm-up or stuck-open/closed operation.
This thermostat opens at 87 Celsius.
