This crankshaft (also called crank shaft) is built for the 1.5L four-cylinder gas engine in a Volkswagen Jetta. It converts piston motion into rotational force to drive the engine. A failing unit often produces a knocking sound from the lower end or makes the engine hard to turn by hand.
