This genuine component is the central rotating shaft that converts the linear motion of the pistons into rotational force to drive the engine. For the 1.4L EA211 turbocharged gas and plug-in hybrid engines found in the Audi A3 and A3 Sportback e-tron, a failing crankshaft can cause knocking noises, excessive vibration, or a complete loss of engine power.
