This is a used OEM BMW crankshaft housing, also known as the lower engine block, with part number 7629928. It replaces numbers 2357458 and 2212959. This structural component forms the lower half of the engine, housing the crankshaft and main bearings. A failing lower block can present as excessive bearing noise, low oil pressure, or crankshaft play. It fits BMW models with the 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine, including the N20 and B46/B48 variants.
