This used genuine BMW crankshaft main bearing cap (OEM 1403867, also replaces 0007262, 0007260, 1405515, 1405518) came from a salvage donor. It secures the crankshaft to the engine block, maintaining proper bearing clearance and oil film. When a main bearing cap fails, symptoms include low oil pressure or a knocking sound from the bottom end. This cap fits BMW 3.0L M54 and 3.2L S54 I6 engines.
