This genuine BMW CV axle shaft (OEM 7524042, also replaces 7529918) is a used, OEM part removed from a donor vehicle. It's the rear, right-side axle shaft, commonly called a half shaft or drive axle. This unit delivers power from the differential to the wheel while allowing suspension movement. On BMW X3 models with the 2.5L or 3.0L naturally aspirated inline-6 engine, a worn CV axle often causes a clicking noise during turns or vibration under acceleration.
