This is a used genuine OEM BMW DME / ECU / Engine Module Housing (lower), part number 7584146, also replacing 7544574 and 7528869. It is the lower section of the engine control module housing, protecting the ECU's internal electronics from moisture and debris. A common failure symptom for this housing is a cracked or warped lower cover that allows water ingress, leading to corrosion or electrical faults in the DME.
