This used OEM BMW dome MAP light / sun roof switch (part 9225941) was pulled from a donor X5 or X6. It also replaces earlier part numbers including 9206606, 9201847, 9183036, and others in that series. The switch controls both the interior map/reading lights and the overhead sunroof operation on several engine variants, including 3.0L I6 and 4.4L V8 gasoline and diesel. A failing switch often causes unresponsive dome lights or a sunroof that won't open or close using the overhead panel.
