For your BMW, this used genuine OEM front left door handle lighting wiring harness (part number 7184361) carries the electrical signal to power the handle's LED. Factory wiring is preferred over aftermarket splices because corrosion or broken wires in this harness can cause intermittent or total loss of door handle illumination. It was removed from a 2011-2013 1 Series coupe with a 3.0L N55 or N52 engine. Have a shop install it for proper routing through the door panel.
