This used OEM Audi/Volkswagen front right door latch / lock actuator (3C1837016B) controls the locking and unlocking functions on the passenger door. When it fails, the door may not respond to the remote or interior switch, or the latch can stick open or closed. The lock actuator also works with the central locking system. This particular unit was removed from a donor vehicle and is a direct replacement for the original part.
