A used BMW door latch / lock actuator, OEM part number 7956142, also replaces 51217956142. This genuine OEM actuator was removed from a donor vehicle and is the front right-side unit. It controls the mechanical locking and unlatching of the door. A common failure symptom is the door failing to lock or unlock with the key fob or interior switch, or a noisy, sluggish actuator.
