This BMW Door Lock Actuator Soft-close Motor (OEM 7154515) is a used genuine part, originally removed from a donor vehicle. It's the left-rear unit that gently pulls the door closed after latching, preventing slamming. When this soft-close motor fails, the door may not fully latch or require extra force. Also known as a door lock actuator, it operates the soft-close function and the central locking mechanism. A worn unit often produces a grinding noise or fails to retract the door fully.
