This BMW door stop / check rod, OEM part number 7198947, is a genuine used component removed from a donor vehicle. Also called a door check rod, it limits the front door's opening arc and holds it in position on inclines. Over time, these rods can wear, allowing the door to swing fully open or fail to stay put. Fits BMW 640i, 640i xDrive, 650i, 650i xDrive, and M6 models with 3.0L I6 or 4.4L V8 twin-turbo engines.
