BMW ECU DME / BDC Module / Lock Cylinder with Key (OEM 9844147) is a used genuine part removed from a donor vehicle. Also replaces 9895279. This integrated unit combines the engine control module (ECM/DME), body domain controller (BDC), and ignition lock cylinder with key. It is designed for BMW models equipped with the 4.4L V8 gas or mild-hybrid turbocharged engines. A failing DME can cause no-start or drivability issues; the BDC controls lighting, door locks, and other body functions. Programming is required: this module must be coded to your vehicle’s VIN by a qualified shop or dealer on installation.
