This used genuine BMW ECU DME / Cas3 Theft Locking Module with lock cylinder and key (OEM 7629609) integrates engine control and anti-theft functions for 3.0L I6 (naturally aspirated and turbocharged) and 4.4L V8 turbo engines. Also replaces 8618483, 7645283, 7629130, 7626776, 7610272, 7619981, 7614754. Failure in this module can cause no-start conditions or immobilizer lockouts. Programming to the vehicle’s VIN is required upon installation—this must be performed by a qualified shop or dealer.
